Education
Logan County’s public schools districts emphasize individualized instruction and use advanced technology to prepare students for the future. Each school focuses on individual development through quality academic programs and a broad variety of extra-curricular activities, from athletics to arts. Top quality teaching translates into a large percentage of students graduating and continuing their education in trade schools, colleges, and universities. These schools produce graduates with sound rural values and a strong work ethic.
For example, in 2005 Sterling High School had two students receive the Boettcher Foundation Scholarship. Each year the Boettcher Foundation grants 40 merit-based scholarships to superior young persons from Colorado high schools.
There is one private school in the Logan County, Saint Anthony’s Catholic School, located in Sterling. Saint Anthony’s currently has enrollment of approximately 135 students and offers classes in grades K through 8.
